Thoughts.

Think Think Think. Just think.
Instead my thoughts betray me.
Oh dearest truest friend,
Why must you torment me so?
It's all so right, it's all so wrong.
Heart, where have you gone?
Do you two conspire against me?
Yes, Perhaps you do, why?
Even the best intentions can go wrong.
Even the worst of intentions can go right.
Intentions intentions... ah but attention!
Give me your attention, give me back control.
You wander here and you wander there,
Quit thinking on the side and instead look ahead.
Dearest thoughts, why do you wonder so?
Let's focus now, please for me?
Think think think. Please think.
My thoughts run everywhere on a night like this.

I honestly hate my brain at times. Thoughts run here and there. I don't know and I don't care. Take me by the hand and let's just leave this place. New Jersey sounds like a grand idea :] Best friends, next stop! First stop, finding out what went wrong, what went right. Let's all play a game tonight! Find who you were, find who you are. Change must come, old must leave. To change your thought, oh dear... yes you must. Let's all open our hearts tonight, to the brutal bloody cold. Open your eyes open your ears, let the truth be told! Take a chance, no, don't you dare! In all reality I shouldn't care. But somehow I do, and my mind torments me so. Let's all take a breather, right now. Tell me, why should I care?

I love my life. Only in writing. Sometimes I can't stop. And tonight, I never want to. Frustration and annoyance, happiness too, all these things aid in process of my writings. Things above and such. Truly my dear, writing frees me like nothing else.

I'm Annoyed

I'm annoyed. I'm tired. I'm stupid. I'm procrastinating. I'm insane.

Ok just kidding about the last one. I really really really... really am annoyed at the male gender. You guys drive me insane. Thanks.

That's the short rendition of it all, I had typed up a diff one, but it was mean and written out of spite. So I took it down.

Now all you know is.. I'm really annoyed.

Transparency... or Lunacy?

Now, this is one of those blog I really didn't know if I wanted to post. Why? I think the title explains that one. I just can't let my thoughts be glossed over so flippantly and not know what you're thinking. Normally I don't care... what you think doesn't matter to me. But for this... I'm soooo weird about this subject that I absolutely MUST speak to you about this (i.e. in person or via phone.) Of course I have no way of knowing if you ever read this. Just, before you read it... just commit it to memory to actually talk me about this and let me try and explain further. Ah like you Ash, this is not a slight towards your dating relationship, not in the least. And Amber, yeah I'm sure we'll have a blast discussing this one :]. As for you Daniel , because obviously you do read my stuff, since I don't know you that well I'm sure you'll think I'm crazy. I'm ok with that. So to anyone else reading this.. why are you reading this?! Go away. Jk. Kind of. Ok ... so yeah if you come to the conclusion I'm crazy... at least have the decency to TELL me. Please and thank you. Talk to me people.

(warning: this is a really long blog, to say in the least)

Have you ever felt the weight of despair burdening your mind and promising to never leave? Or even a small dose of depression. Maybe even like all your hopes dreams and wishes will never come true? Have you ever felt so cynical and so heavy hearted that everything good and true in the world seemed unreachable? I have.

But of course, this despair is selective. For some reason it's only about falling in love. I really have a strange obsession and fear that I'll never fall in love. Not merely everyday normal love, but a deep, rich, satisfying, heart wrenching, painfully pleasurable, can't live without them, and would rather die than be separated, kind of love. You read about that kind of love. Only once in a blue moon do you actually see such love in real life. I really wonder if I have seen such love.

I just can't even begin to describe to you the anguish I feel at times. It's not normal. It makes me feel weird, like I'm weird. Why do I insist on waiting for something that doesn't exist? Why do I secretly hope for a fleeting dream that simply vanishes in the morning? Why must I plague my mind will such silly notions? Why do I refuse to settle? Why do I lie to myself and tell myself love isn't that important? Why am I so difficult? Honestly there are more times than not that I really and truly believe I'll never find such love. It's not merely the "I love you"-simply-because-we're-dating-and-it's-normal-to-say-it-but-if-
we-break-up-in-2-months-it-meant-nothing-love. I'm scared to death of that love. The real love... I despair over, the other I fear. I'm scared I'll find someone I think is worth it and at the time it's so wonderful but then it ends. Short. Abrupt. Fake. You wouldn't know it, you wouldn't guess it... but I really am a very deeply emotional girl. Inwardly, at times, I feel as if I am a bottomless chasm that only deepens with each breath I take, thought I think, and wish I cast. At times I don't even understand my emotions. They are so stiff, formal, and very unmoving on the surface. No tears. No anger. I do laugh. But the happiness I show is only a fraction of what I feel. So cool. So pristine. So still. That is how I think I portray myself outwardly at times. I don't like showing emotion. I hate showing it because I'm afraid if I show it someone will get a good look at me and see me for who I am, someone I don't want out. (But... this person peaks through during two times. One. When I'm singing, more when I'm worshiping my Lord and Savior. And Two. When I write, like now) And I think showing emotion is letting someone else get the upper hand on me. I'm just generally a closed person. Sure I'm friendly and outgoing and I make tons of friends, but that doesn't mean I want them to see the deeper side of me. I'm sure many people who know me don't really know me. That's ok with me, most of the time. But I'm getting off track. I'm afraid of opening myself, the side I hide, to someone who "loves" me and for them to throw it back in my face. Love is forever. I want to find the love that no matter what I know it will last my whole lifetime. Divorce. It is an ugly vile word that I detest with everything in me. I guess I have a fear of rejection in a sense, but sadly its roots stem deeper than most girls my age. In this shallow pool called high school I find it hard to really deepen certain relationships. I question guys motives. I have had countless friendships end... with guys. Simply because when they opened their eyes and realized I didn't want to date them, they left. Who knows why. It used to not be so bad. It's not like we were good friends. It was always the ones who just liked me. Not real friends, just the passing friends, the high school friends. But when my best friend, a guy I trusted more than any other guy in my life, did the same thing, it hurt. He'd gained my trust, in the form of friendship, nothing more. Then when it turned toward something more... I had to let him know it couldn't be like that. And he left. He had promised me no matter what we'd always be friends. I don't hate him. I don't even despise him. I just miss what we had, the trust. I am always always assuming no guy in high school is worth a second glance. This whole ridiculous obsessed with love thing doesn't help either. When longing for something and yet avoiding it entirely... it just isn't a good mix. It turns into despair, anguish. Now we've made it back around full swing to the beginning.

It's as if I am running. I'm pressing onward. There is just one complication, I refuse to open my eyes. I cling to the only hope in me. If I open my eyes I'll see where I'm headed. Am I headed into heartache and disappointment? Or am I heading toward the love I long for? I'm running. Will anyone ever come along and stop me?

Maybe I fool myself. I am certainly not the only one to feel like this. Perhaps I fool myself and really every other person in the world has the same desire as me. But if so, then the very thing I long for doesn't exist. I long for a different kind of love, the one that is scarce. If everyone else wanted what I wanted then it would spring up more often. All the love around wouldn't be shallow. I refrain from saying fake, because to them, it is real. I mean who am I to judge the deepness of someone else's relationship? If everyone else is just as foolhardy as me and they long for this kind of love, I fool myself. Who am I to think my passion and longing are deeper and more meaningful than the last girl who passed me by on the sidewalk today? If they want it, and I want it, we all want it... then why don't any of us get it? Maybe it's that I don't settle. Maybe because in a world where settling is the trend, I fall out out of the norm. What I long for... I wait for. Maybe everyone else has the same innate desire I have, they just don't wait for it. Maybe we are all fools, those of us who really want love. It's a universal dream in the midst of a horrifying reality.

Perhaps it is better to vow to abandon such dreams. Perhaps it is best to forge ahead towards my other goals in life. Everything I want to see and do can be accomplished alone. But how much richer and more fulfilling would it be if it were with someone else? I can't know. I don't know. I only dream.

I think the worst person anyone could say would be: "I know exactly how you feel! That is everything I want and long for too. You just word it better." I guess really it would just be worst if another girl said it. it almost is a slight. It's MY personal hopes, are you jacking off my dreams? She could say, "I understand, I have similar dreams." But to claim they have the same feeling as me towards love would only confirm my fear of my being a fool. Find your own dreams. There is just one thing I want, I want just one guy, not two or three, but one guy to feel the same as me. Not necessarily have the very same exact view of love... but for him to want me. Don't we all have that desire? To have someone want us above everyone else? To know next to everyone else they chose you. That must be an incredible feeling.

Do I make any sense? Is this all nothing more than the ridiculous blathering on of idiotic and far fetched fairy tales of a young girl with her head in the clouds? If so, tell me. Tell me and rip this torture away. I really should stop referring to love as this painful allusion, but until I find such love, it will torment me. To have it would appease it, to not only worsens it. Love. So simple a word with such an undefinable definition.

A look. A touch. A smile. When a guy does these things, I want to know it's love. Of course the feeling would be incredible, but the roots that go deeper than the mind and heart and soul and everything we can imagine... to know beyond a shadow of a doubt... to know the love was real and it could last, oh you better believe that's what I hope for. To last. But how is this possible? I mean, look at the world we live in. That's exactly why it's possible. We need a refreshing love that let's us escape the troubles of our world. A love that goes beyond the insanity of our society, to throw us a line to reel us in when life gets rough, to strengthen us when we are weak, to encourage us when we fall down, to praise us when we are lifted up, to humble us when we need it, to be the breathing anchor that steadies us... that's the love we need. That's what is severely lacking. That's why there are so many broken homes and broken lives. That love is near non-existent in our society. If that was the love people shared I bet divorce ratings would be WAY lower. Obviously, I really hate divorce... a lot.

But the thing that's even worse than wanting all of this, this love, is to know there is a very large possibility it will pass me up. I am so preoccupied with steering clear of the shallow nonsense that the one guy who may very well be the deepest one... I may let pass by. Oh how utterly depressing would that be? A life without love. I feel a death sentence staring me down in the face and dejectedly I stare back. Life without love is the death sentence, it looms over me like a fatal disease. A love that forsakes and leaves me would be the death of me. Not in a physical sense, but emotionally. I'm like a rose, prickly on the outside. I'm closed up, shy. Even with tender sunshine falling on my petals, I don't open. But, if one waits patiently, eventually I will open up and and share a stunning gift. Which brings me to another fear. That no guy ever in the world will ever care enough to wait. I'm slow. I'm untrusting. I'm wary. I question motives. I run. I hide. I fight. Who the heck wants to deal with a girl like that? No one I assume. You can be reading this and laugh at me, but I'm dead serious. Let's say, hypothetically of course, there was a guy who liked me. I liked him back... and admitted to this openly (that's the hypothetical part). But upon hearing my bitter and spiteful hurting words about guys he is annoyed but looks past it. Of course being the girl I am I'll set up about a million roadblocks as an attempt to keep him at bay. Even though I actually do like him I push him away. I understand guys like challenges, but I have a way with words that cut like a knife through their hearts. I know how to inflict hurt with precision. Which may or may not be good. I say things I only half mean, an attempt to get a rise out them, to scrutinize them, and to test them. When I say goodbye, I really mean, are you going to walk away or will you fight to stay? Of all the many guys I've liked none have ever measured up. The society we live in just doesn't produce the kind of guy I long for. A man. A man of honor, integrity and chivalry. A guy who will fight me or rather fight for me. Men are in short supply these days. They don't stand up for what the believe, they back down, they are all a bunch of pansy-like boys in men's clothing. What happened to the men of honor? I'm a really stubborn person when I want to be. When guarding my heart I'll fight to the death. I love this one song:

Unsafe Safe - The Hush Sound

Don't open the safe is unsafe

No you won't disarm my heart
The last gift you'll ever get from me
Is the combination or the key

In a world of liars, I choose to keep what I have safe. I refuse to be a girl who hands over her heart on a silver platter to the first guy who wants it. You want it? You gotta prove you're worth trusting. My heart is mine, it's not just for the taking, it's for the winning. Prove yourself, then win it. If no guy ever cares enough to do that, then I guess I'll never let anyone ever have my heart, nor my love.

Is compromise an option? Absolutely not. Love is something all long for. It's something I know without a doubt I can live without. I'd rather live a life of loneliness than ever compromise. Compromise what? Everything I believe. I hate writing... because there is ALWAYS a huge amount of what I'm thinking I just don't know how to say. It's like there's a million thoughts running around up there... but only one is let loose and put into words. It's really quite frustrating. So here's a terrifying thought... so we know I'll never settle and I have high standards... but that's not the scary part, the terrifying part is that perhaps I won't measure up to someone else's standards. That is even worse than not being in love, to see the right person and know it isn't possible. Devastating.

We can't forget yet another factor... dating leads to marriage. Love is thrown in the midst of that. I would never date someone who I couldn't potentially in the far off future see myself with. Marriage. That freaks me out like none other! Seriously! I mean I'm only 17... marriage... it's forever! Ahh. And of course I won't be married anytime soon... but dating... last I checked the REAL purpose of dating is to lead to marriage. But of course most everyone these days don't even begin to think about marriage when dating someone, it's creepy. It's all about the sex and love and ohh so good feeling. Please. I wish more people actually grasped that dating leads to marriage. AND YET this is one reason I do not just date every guy I see. I'm not going to waste time with someone I'm unable to see myself with in the long run. I'd rather spend that time developing and strengthening all the things about me, not waste it on a boyyy. AH one guy even talked of marriage... when we weren't even dating! It was insanely weird and creeped me out. So I shy away from love... because that is only one stop closer to marriage. Most guys my age really don't think about marriage. But when I'm dating someone I'm not going to be psycho and be like MARRIAGE!!! Because if someone did that to me I'd leave them in a heartbeat. I just wouldn't get into a relationship at the drop of the hat. I'd definitely have to know him and about him. And if he didn't meet the criteria or whatever... see ya dude. Perhaps this is all way too serious for someone my age to be thinking about. But well, I don't see the point in dating just to date. That's just stupid. Why would do you like me? Why do you want to date me? These are the questions I would want a guy to ask me.. not out right but subtly.. I'll be doing the same. So yes, love means eventual marriage. Creepiness.

Perhaps you've found at least some insight as to why this love seems so impossible to me. One I scarcely believe it exists. Two my expectations are really high ( or deep haha ). Three I don't think such a guy could exist. Four even if I found such a guy I would merely just push him away. Five I'm too scared of such a risk. Six Love (usually) means eventual marriage, marriage is freaky to think about.

Congratulations Leah, you've successfully set up your defenses in such a way that you will never fall in love.

... is it impossible or is it not?

I just want it. I'm human, could you expect anything less?

Even with all my doubts, I still cling to the hope that one day something really great might come. Maybe that quote, "Good things come to those who wait." will prove to be right. But it's not like I'm sitting around like a lost puppy... just waiting to be picked up and loved. Ahh no no. I have a life I'm busy living. I'm growing into a woman of integrity (I mean I can't expect a great man of integrity if I myself am not a woman of one, can I?). I don't want to be like everyone else. I want to be one who rises up out of the ashes of this hell hole and actually have some worth tacked onto my name. I don't want to just be "a wife". I want to be THE wife. The one that perhaps one guy is truly amazed to have. Perfection is impossible. But the higher you reach the higher you go, and when you fall, your still a heck of a lot closer to the top than the people who had lower standards than you. (In regard to personal expectations, not love.)

There is a quote I like:

She ignores all the other guys... because she too busy waiting for him.

Who is he? The one better than the rest of course!

Is this all crazy talk? Or does it in some way shape or form actually make sense. Tell me is this lunacy?

What do you think?

Ps. I've been adding on to this blog over the course of this week. To write all that in one sitting?! I can't imagine if you actually read all that at once. Bravo. You sat through my crazy thoughts. This is a more serious blog... I'm not all deep and with a straight face all the time. Just this time. Heck I can't lie, I can't wait to have a ridiculously good time with a guy and laugh and make jokes and be stupid... also I can't lie..the physical stuff doesn't sound too bad either ;]. Just so you know, I'm not allllllwaaayss so serious. This is just my more serious blog. IN YO FACE. Jk. Idk why I said that. So yeah. Let's have a chat. Call me and tell me why I was crazy or why I was ... something else! I loove love talks. Wooo the girly side in me exists!

Pss. You'd think I had an emotionally scarring relationship, eh? Wrong.

Illegal?

I realize this is the third post of the day... but I really have to get a rant in here. (It wouldn't be complete without a rant, now would it?)

So I'm gazing into Ch. 3 of the book I'm reading. Alien Invasion, or something like that.

Now I must seriously say, wow. The amount of illegal immigrants that come over here is ASTOUNDING! Whites... yeah that's a majority that's a thing of the past. It's always been an annoyance in my mind about the whole we never deport illegals thing. But when it hit close to home it only pissed me off more. How so? Well my uncle is the only one who never got married and had kids. It was a little of a year or so ago he finally got married, and his wife already had two kids. Awesome! New cousins, I love it. What does that have to do with illegal aliens? Well actually she came over with a visa or whatever LEGALLY. Then it ran out. She's trying to everything she can to get a citizenship. She really is doing it the LEGAL way. She's from the Philippines by the way. A while back she found her mother was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors said she didn't have much longer to live. My Aunt Lyn of course wanted to go visit her! Who in their right mind wouldn't? It's not that money was an issue... but if she left she'd never be allowed back in the US. Why? She's not a citizen. Never mind she has an honest job, she's married to a US citizen ( I'm not really sure how that all works out.), she's trying everything she can to obtain citizenship and she wants to stay LEGALLY. But no there are Mexicans crossing the borders every day who get free health insurance etc etc etc. And even when they're caught... they aren't deported. Why the hell not? Seriously what the hell. It pisses me off. We need better border control. NOW.

Stupid illegal aliens.

Our country needs to fix this asap. But with these candidates? Psh. Like the stupid liberal democrats give a care. Like politicians ever do what they say they will. I like the fact that Huckabee at least has a plan, whether he would get in office and would actually fulfill that, I don't know.

It's all so ridiculous.

Contradictory! It sounds like Victory!

Me: I hate change. But I love new things.
Erin: Wow... that was a complete contradiction.

Just call me a walking contradiction then. Actually, I do have a logical answer behind such a contradictory statement. Too bad I'm not going to tell you! I already talk enough on this blog. Oh the incessancy! (instead of... Oh the inhumanity!... just pointing that out... :D)

Jump

I wrote this a few days ago, I just haven't had the time to type it all up on this computer (oh the inconvenience of my computer sucking). I plan to buy a laptop this summer, possibly at least.

There she sat. Below her was a clear and undisturbed glassy surface. A chilling wind swept in and blew her hair every which way. The water looked so serene, so calm, so peaceful. Looks can be deceiving. Exhaust from a passing car filled her lungs. Even the perfunctory strangers traveling on the road behind her beckoned for her to turn back and leave. Should she jump? Should she stay? Should she move on and wonder if the jump was worth it? It really didn't look that dangerous. She sat and pondered the elements around. It was a steep fall and she didn't even know what was hidden in in the water. A pipe or tree branch could be unexposed beneath the blue water, something unknown, something that could potentially hurt her. People fell into this cool pool every day, so why was she so afraid? What was holding her back? The lake was so vast and so full of unseen things, who really knew what it was like? Those who had fallen into it never looked back. Those who experienced it couldn't explain it. Some were hurt, some wanted more, some like her just didn't know. The water stared back at her. What if it was freezing, she could catch hypothermia. What if she drowned? What if it was shallow and she broke her legs? What if it was deep and sucked her under and suffocated her? The what if's were endless. This was not a jump anyone could push her into; this was something only she could choose. It was so inviting, yet so frightening. Fear gripped her beating heart. To make such a leap into the unknown, to leave behind familiarity, could she do it, should she do it? Her mind ran a million miles an hour processing every possible question and precaution. You would have to be crazy to willingly fall into the deep blue lake on this side of the busy highway. Everyone watching simply shakes their heads and scorn those idiotic enough to jump into something so foolish. Of course, they themselves had never made the jump, or they have fooled someone else into thinking they have. There was no one to catch her. Was there anyone to make the jump with her? She decided that if someone were to hold her hand and jump with her it would make all the difference. Falling alone was no way to go. Ah, there she goes again, with her far off hopes and silly dreams. No such person existed. They all traveled 50 miles an hour down the road directly behind her. No one took the time she did to ponder such questions. Everyone was racing through life at such high speeds they forgot about the jump. Some skipped the jump and were already drowning in the water. How can you skip the jump and expect the water to feel the same? Some took multiple dips in the water causing it to lose its first allure. She stood up and began to wave her arms at the passing cars. Stop! she urges. No one would. She sat again staring at the water. To jump or not? Everything in her wanted to jump, but she was too terrified to try it. To jump or not, that is the question that hammered at every corner fold of her mind. Was there anyone to stop and see her confused smile etched on her lips? A smile aching to be free and laugh the whole way down and continue to smile while wading in the water? The wind began to blow harder and she only felt more alone. So alone. The jump seemed so desolate, so opposite of what it was cracked up to be. In her cynicism she doubted the exhilaration of such a jump. Yet her she was, sitting, wishing, and waiting. Her heart yearned to make the jump. So unable to move, yet so unable to fall forward. Here she sat.

Now, stop and think. What is the parallel? There's a parallel?- you ask. Yes. And if you can't guess it... I wonder why? I think it's obvious, but then again, I'm the writer. If you honestly can't figure it out, just ask. I'll tell you. But if you do figure it out... I applaud you. Do you see who the girl is? That's obvious too, it's me. (I let you have that one for free too!).

It is late. I started listening to talk radio and it's all so fascinating that I didn't want to sleep. But now I am.. I'm exhausted.

Fate Really Hates Me

I have a hunch that fate hates me.

Why do the wrong things always happen and the right things never happen? Why?

This is not me being cocky, because trust me, this problem I'm about to tell you about I'd much rather not have it.

I feel terrible. I wish I had stuck to my old philosophy on how to handle the problem. I used to just ignore it and force myself to be oblivious. I would even tell myself that I was ridiculous and I was only flattering myself. I even used to go as far as to say to think such things was just being vain. But it was all to no avail. It's happened more than once. It's not just coincidence if it happens several times.

For some reason when I DON'T like guys they are always the ones to like me. When ever I purposefully not flirt and just be friendly.. well it tends to make them flirt more. Sigh. I don't understand boys. Fact, I used to think I was terrible at reading signs when in all reality, I read them just fine. When guys liked me I always just assumed it was a mistake on my judgment, not because I thought I was hideous... but because I just hoped they didn't. (I'm crazy in case you haven't figure this out by now). I just don't like dealing with guys beyond friendship, it only complicates things. So why am I all of a sudden posting a blog about this? I'll tell you why.

There's this guy I met at camp last summer. We never became good friends. It was fine, none of the liking stuff to complicate it. Then a few months later he started flirting and I could tell he was starting to like me... so being the mean person I am I slowly distanced myself from him. I didn't want another Jon dilemma. So it worked. It's because I'm a genius, what can I say ;]. Then I stopped going to that church. Even better, I got away from that boy craziness. Ok I really am not being cocky, but I noticed that when new girls start coming to a church guys tend to pay attention to the new girl. I noticed this at my old old church, (when I was NOT the new girl). Then I became the new girl. Drat. It was annoying. I didn't have any good girl friends for a while because I always ended up sitting with guys. But I didn't flirt with them and let the attention go to my head, why? Because I figured having every girl pissed off at me wasn't a good idea. Plus a new girl was bound to come sooner or later. Of course it never happened when I was there that short year, I always had the new girl label on me. And in turn, since I was the new girl, I had to let it soak into my skull, that I'm not being stupid when I think guys like me. It happened, a lot. So I soon realized I'm better at picking up signs than I thought. I had to nicely in a subtle way let these guys know I didn't want to date ANY of them. Well it worked for the most part. OH MY GOSH, but guys are so weird, when you don't flirt with them, and you purposely ignore them and you don't give them attention... it makes them only flirt with you more and hang around you more. What the crap? I remember this one guy who was really attractive, and every girl flirted with him relentlessly. I was pretty much the only girl who didn't just flirt with him and call him hot and hang around him all the time. We actually were pretty good friends. But of course soon he started paying attention to me and flirting and I was like AH just freaking go away. He's kind of a manwhore and finds the slutty girls and dates them then breaks up with them like a month later. No thanks, I don't like boys like that. Darn, I'm getting off track. So I learned a great skill after going to that church, I learned how to figure out when guys like me. I really used to be terrible at figuring that kind of stuff out. I still kind of am.

So back to the guy who I met last summer. Well we hadn't talked in a while, and I sent a mass text out on Valentines day (Happy unimaginative consumerist-oriented, entirely arbitrary and shallow interpretation of romance day). I thought everyone should enjoy my excellent name for it. Well after that he started texting me and kept saying let's hang out. Well I'm like sweet, just a buddy thing. No of course not. Fate hates me and the wrong guys always like me. So he called me a few times before we actually hung out. Which is fine I love talking on the phone. Then we hung out and played rock band for hours at my house. It was fun. But he kept flirting, and not just the fun flirting, it was like I could tell he kind of liked me flirting. The annoying kind. And of course I didn't flirt back. Which of course led to more flirting on his end. Why is it like that? When I ignore flirting it tends to drive guys crazy? That's stupid. So my brother is hanging out with us too, and it's just kind of weird. Then my brother leaves and it's just us. Cool, fine no problem. Then when he leaves he's all like "That was so fun let's hang out again... soon!" I'm thinking greeeat. I really like him as a friend, don't get me wrong. It's just I hate when guys like me and then when they figure out I don't like them they stop talking to me for whatever reason. The whole reason I don't flirt and I stay platonic and friendly is to maintain a friendship, not let it go down the drain when your freaking ego is hurt. Geez. So of course after he leaves he begins texting me. Asking questions, about me. And of course ever since he's been pushing to hang out allllll the time. His party is sat and I'm prob going. But he wants to hang out before then. I don't want tooo, not one on one. In a group sure, but he doesn't get that.

Why must guys insist on being absolutely stupid? I mean the way they only like girls more when ever she doesn't give them attention. Bah. Maybe I should flirt like crazy with the guys who do like me... that way they get sick of me. Oh wait that's called leading someone on and I don't do that.

In the end fate really must hate me. The right guys NEVER freaking want to hang out. All the wrong guys push to hang out all the freaking time. It's a rule of thumb in my life, if Leah ever actually likes a guy it's a known fact he will never like her back. But then every other guy who she is not interested in in the least likes her. This is how it's worked, generally. I mean sure here and there, there have been a few guys I liked and we "talked" and yadda yadda. But seriously, there has to be a red light beeping above my head and the annoying mosquito-like guys are a attracted, then all the good guys hate the red beeping light.

My life is so frustrating sometimes.

Good thing most guys in high school aren't even worth a second glance so I don't have to worry about dating anyways. It's so nice. But I still have to worry about turning them down. Crap. I hate that. I hate making guys feel bad, or anyone in general. Maybe I should just stop showering fixing my hair and make up and I should start wearing hideous clothes. Then perhaps the problem will go away. Too bad I love my clothes... and my hair. I can't think of any good solutions. Maybe I can get in an accident and get my face smashed so I'm really really ugly instead of how I look now! But wait, when ever a really attractive guy I DO like comes along.. then I'm screwed.

Fate really hates me. And I hate guys. Stupid games I must play to evade them. Stupid idiotic high school boys. Stupid me. Stupid me for occasionally actually liking the wrong ones. Stupid everything.

I'm so annoyed. Ah speak of the devil... he just texted me and got the hint. The hint that I CAN'T hang out Wednesday because I have class and I'm going to get my license and then I have homework to do if I want to go to church that night, if I get a ride.

Am I crazy?

Yes.

Why do you think I rarely every like guys? Thank goodness for you Amber because you are exactly like me in this area. I might go crazy if it was just me. But I know it's not all in my head.

Oh dear right guy, where are you? Non-existent?

Fate really hates me.

----Edit----

Umm ok. Haha so apparently I'm a big flirt? That's what Gracie says. I of course denied it. I am not as big of a flirt as I used to be. Then it hit me, I am so oblivious to guys and I only recently figured out when to spot when guys like me... that I must flirt subconsciously. It's like second nature. The only time I don't is when I purposely don't flirt. Which I do when I know a guy likes me and I don't like him.

And another thing, I KNOW that guy likes me bc he just asked me to go to a costume party... matching with him. I don't even want to dress up period. Let alone match the guy.

Ahhhhh. My life. It almost makes me want to not go on Sat. But... then he'll just keep asking to hang out one on one. Seriously, how do you turn a guy down and still be friends? I can't figure out the last part. I've had my share of turning guys down, NICELY at that, and yet they all are douches who decide to not be friends anymore.

Guys are so weird.

Or I'm just weird.

I'm not sure

My trust issue may not be addressed for some time. Until I throw myself into something like that fully, I don't have the motivation to write. I don't want to get into that right now. Then that means I'll have to think about it and figure things out.

Instead I may throw something else at you, something so off, yet so spot on, it will make you shake your head. I'll be transparent. Something I refrain from being, even on here. I'll try and be as honest as possible, and yet, it probably will still be vague and unclear.

Are you ready for it? I'm not sure if you are. I'll wait and ponder if I really want you to see it. Even you who know me so well may get deeper insight. Shocking.

I still am unsure if you should see it.

Barack Obama

I find the following things humorous :

Obama steals quotes, and not just from great men... but from a movie like Man of the Year. ha.

Why won't the man just answer the question? I find this extremely hilarious. It almost makes me feel bad for Obama... almost.

How would you like that guy defending you? He should have just answered the question. He lacks Obama's charisma... majorly. But honestly, I don't like Obama so I'm not complaining.

We don't have a good selection of candidates. And that scares me. Seriously our country is spiraling downward. We need to boot out those leftist socialist liberals NOW. (Yeaaahhh I'm reading a book on the evils of them. It's frightening really).

All my other worries pale in comparison when thinking about our country as a whole.

Twilight

Breathless. I stare at the words yet my thoughts are whirling a million miles an hour. I cannot help but suppress a grin. My heart is beating faster and my pulse is ever quickening. My eyes are but two glorious pools full of wonder.

Has this ever happened to you when reading? I hope it has, it's such an invigorating experience. It's been a couple hours since I stumbled upon the book lying so placidly on my staircase. It's one of the books on my list. A book many of my friends praise beyond the stars of the heavens. Their faces are filled with excitement and wonder when talking of it. I've always been curiously drawn to it. I've been meaning to get it from the library. Yet it seemed as if the god's of reading (I kid) saw fit to let this one book fall from the skies of heaven into my lap. It is a book that an incredibly talented writer has graced us with. The very bizarre and yet strangely fascinating book is pure genius. I can't put it down.

How did I come upon it? My brother, of all people, brought it home. Whether he borrowed it or bought I have no idea. I asked him if it was his, and he said yes, it's about vampires. And about love, I said. But... vampires. We left it at that. So you see, it's really an odd book that draws odd people. He isn't an avid reader like me. So now I'm taking a short pause to post a blog.

I'm not grounded by the way. Parents. Sheesh. They ungrounded me.

But I have changed my mind in what book I'm reading this week... sort of. I'll probably stay up all night finishing this one (Twilight by Stephenie Meyer), and if I do finish it, I'll continue on with the Michael Savage book. Also I want to add my list into my blog.

These are all books I've come across that have, for one reason or another, piqued my interest. Some were recommended to me, others I just have always wanted to read. I have many reasons as to why I wanted to read these particular books. You'd think I'd never read a book in my life while gazing upon this list... but I have. I read a lot. The list is quite long. Over 50? You will call me crazy after you look at it.

That's a ridiculously long list right? Well to be honest that's not even all of them. (I still have a plethora of books I have already read that I want to reread) Those are all that have found their way on The List right now. A few recommendations need to be added here and there. But if I read one a week I'll make a good dent in my Book Wish List before summer. Those are not in the order I plan on reading them. No, but if you were observant you would have noted I put them in alphabetical order according to the author's last names. I like to be organized. I have a check list in a journal I keep. I decided weekends are a wondrous invention. Saturday is the end of the school week, end of the real week. Perfect time to finish up any book I'm reading. Sunday is the perfect time to start one, no school and a nice relaxing day. Saturdays I'll try and form a habit of giving you a quick overview of what I thought about the book of the week.

I must be out of my mind. But my mind shall be filled with all these wondrous thoughts each author intended to share.

I must be off to finish my story that is filled with vampirism. Hope you had a pleasant time taking a gander at my list. Feel free to drop me a comment and suggest your favorite book. Perhaps it will find it's way onto my ever growing list.
